Bulletin: 747 operators
Airplanes
must be in compliance with Airworthiness Directive AD# 2004-07-22.
AMPSCorp
has developed a SSID/MSD-MRB Integrated program to assist you in complying with
the SSID regulatory requirement. Our integration process reduces the combined man-hrs needed to
accomplish your next D-Check.
Airlines
using the new SSID/MPD integrated program are attaining a 30-50% reduction
in overall D-check man-hours.
Airworthiness
Directive AD 2004-07-22 requires immediate action for airplanes with over
20,000 flight cycles (SSID D6-35022, Rev. G, for all Boeing 747
airplanes). Since the required action is major structures inspection of a
magnitude and scale of a heavy "D" check maintenance visit, the
resulting economic and scheduling needs have a considerable impact on your
747 operating business plan. Of further interest is the Federal Air
Regulation Part 121.370a requiring a detailed structures fatigue
inspection program in place by December of 2010, within a "D"
check interval of today's date.
Introduction to AMPSCorp maintenance
program rescue service for operators with airplanes over, at or within a
"D" check of the 20,000 flight cycle limit: An international
aviation advisory committee portion of the Airline Transport Association
consisting of manufacturers, aircraft operators and government regulators
has established guidelines for aircraft maintenance. A required part of
this maintenance is a scheduled maintenance program consisting of specific
periodic work to be done in the areas of aircraft systems, engines and
structure. AMPSCorp provides assistance to the aircraft operator in
building and refining a scheduled maintenance program for their aircraft.
Due
to the immediate action required by many 747 operators pertaining to the
structures program inspections, AMPSCorp is currently offering this
express planning assistance: We will work with your engineering, planning
and maintenance departments, your maintenance provider and your regulator
as required to see you through this critical economic and safety
inspection challenge. Comprehensive planning activity for a consolidated
heavy check with the AD inspections is the answer.
